At UNGA 79, the Colmena Fund hosted Securing Gains and Resisting Backlash: Responding to the Urgent Needs of Women and Feminist Political Leaders in collaboration with Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA), UN Women, and Open Society Foundations (OSF) and featured prominent leaders advancing women’s political power. During the program, Colmena Fund commissioned analysis, Navigating Setbacks: Women’s Political Representation in the 2024 Super Election Year  was presented by author Saskia Brechenmacher, and offers a snapshot of women’s political leadership from January-July 2024. In the New Year, we will share a comprehensive analysis of the 2024 super election year and its implications for women’s and feminist political power.
